The Interactive customer demo “Day in a Life” goes through different scenarios of a day in the life of a smartphone user. The demo shows what issues can occur when the network is not sufficiently prepared and how the right solutions can effectively improve the end user experience. It is a great way to engage discussions in an interactive manner, using examples of hardware and software solutions that address the main challenging scenarios operators face today.

With the new Ericsson Radio System a generational shift in mobile networks is introduced. This tool presents three use cases enabled by the Ericsson Mobility-based Policy tool.

The evolution to denser radio-access networks with small cells in cluttered urban environments has introduced new challenges for microwave backhaul. A direct line of sight does not always exist between nodes, and this creates a need for non-line-of-sight (NLOS) microwave backhaul. Another aspect is that the small cell sites needs to melt in to the street environment, in order to make site acquisitions easier.
This app supports the discussion on how to solve the backhaul using NLOS microwave, and gives several site examples in city environments.

Ericsson Preemptive Support app is a simulation based upon real operations experiences that our customers have experienced both prior to and after using Preemptive Support. It demonstrates the improvement in revenue protection and O&M efficiency associated with the service.
